Welcome to the Libby Wiebel Music Studio! I am a private piano, guitar, and voice teacher in Northern Virginia. It is my passion to partner with students of all ages to enhance their skills, discover personal joy, and develop a strong foundation for the lifelong creation and appreciation of music.

About Libby Wiebel

Libby Wiebel Profile PictureLibby Wiebel has been teaching private piano for over 25 years and guitar and voice for over 15 years. She studied piano pedagogy at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, and continues to enhance her personal music education through private lessons, attendance at conferences, participation in online piano teaching forums, and continued efforts to seek out the latest in the field of music education. LWMS students regularly participate in regional and national music festivals and events. Libby is a certified KiddyKeys preschool music teacher and she founded and runs the GirlSongs summer songwriting workshop for girls. She was quoted in the books The Savvy Music Teacher and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Teaching Music On Your Own about her teaching techniques. Additionally, Libby is the music minister at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Fort Washington, MD. She plays guitar and performs locally as a folk singer and songwriter. She holds a BA in Mathematics from St. Norbert College and a MS in Computer Science from The College of William and Mary.
